The new "batting tee" will be used predominantly with Stage One cricketers and is something Cowra District Junior Cricket had looked at for a while, according to its president, Ross Graham.
The local organisation initally requested $1000 of support from the Bowling Club, but were asked if there was anything else they needed, with the tee a subsequent result.
"Hopefully [we] improve some batting techniques with it: While there's kids out here waiting to bat, they can come down and practice, and then when it's their turn to bat out on the field, they're ready to go," Graham said.
Meanwhile, Cowra Bowling Club general manager Marc Eisenhauer said the organisation was always keen to support local community and sporting initiatives.
"When they came to us with the idea of what they wanted, we were only too happy to help out," he said.
