Cowra kids earn selection ahead of Central West carnival
Four of the Cowra area's best emerging first grade players have earned selection in a Colts (under 19s) Chairman's XI to be played this weekend.

Emerson Baratto, Darcy Callaghan, Mac Webster and Mikey McNamara have all earned selection in the team, who will head over to Bathurst compete in a carnival against players from Bathurst, Dubbo and Orange on November 23 and 24.
Other players in the team include the Young-based, former Cowra Bowling Club player, Ben Schofield, as well as Harrison Starr, the younger brother of former Cowra Valley's player Zac Starr.
The team will be coached by the Cambridge Cats' Zac Bayliss, while Mudgee's Lachlan Endacott will captain the team.
Players in the team will be competing for a spot in the Western Zone side that will take part in NSW Country Colts tournament to be held in December, also at Bathurst.
Meanwhile, emerging Bowling Club spin bowler Kayne Veney, has earned selection in the Western team that will play in the Kookaburra Cup.
The Kookaburra Cup is a state-wide country cricket tournament that gathers under 14s representative sides from across the state in a competitive format. It is scheduled to take place from January 7 to 10 in Albury.
Veney, as well as Callaghan, Webster, Baratto and McNamara, have all impressed in the early part in the season to date, putting up impressive performances in local cricket to earn selection in the respective sides.
