Carpenter - a Western NSW product - also featured in the Matildas match on Saturday against Chile too, which saw a record crowd for a women's international match in Australia of 20,029 at Bankwest Stadium.
A goal from Bayern Munich forward Emily Gielnik was the difference in the match at Adelaide's Cooper Stadium on Tuesday, while two goals from Ballon d'Or Feminin nominee Sam Kerr was enough on Saturday for the Matildas to win 2-1.
The games against Chile were the first two matches since the Matildas round of 16 exit from the FIFA Women's World Cup at the hands of Norway on penalties.
The Matildas are not in action again until February, 2020, when Australia will compete in an Olympics qualifying tournament with Chinese Taipei, Thailand and China PR in China.
