At the last meeting of the Cowra Art Group, members who had successes at the recent Cowra Show were congratulated, and particularly the spinners group who mounted an interesting display and demonstrated their craft in the pavilion during the show and were consequently awarded the Champion Pavilion Display.

The 2019 Lachlan Valley Biennial Art awards Co-ordinator Robyn Wright reported on the success of the recent exhibition in the Cowra Regional Art Gallery and thanked members and others who assisted in the process of receiving and mounting of the 105 entries.

The Group is also very appreciative of the support from our Sponsors who made the Awards possible.
The exhibition drew a lot of interest during the two weeks of the display which concluded with the announcement of the Patron's People's Choice Award arrived at by visitors voting for their favourite work.
The Winner was Cowra's Dallas Nyberg with his acrylic painting "Relic of the Past".
Monthly social Morning Tea get-togethers are continuing with the latest at Stoke House at Carcoar which proved to be an interesting and historical location which was much enjoyed by those attending.
Other groups within the Art Group are thinking about Christmas preparations, with plans for our Christmas Party on December 12 well in hand, as well as working on the Group's annual gifts for charity which are now being collected ready for presentation.
