Congratulations to the office bearers elected, many unchanged from the previous year: Ann Apthorpe (President), Kaye Kilby and Jean Sandberg (Vice Presidents), Jo Chambers (Treasurer), Lisa Casey (Assistant Treasurer), Cheryl McAlister (Secretary), Jenny Kelly and Jean Sandberg (Meeting Program Organisers), Sonia Groen (Publicity) and Rowena Casey and Cheryl McAlister (Central Western Group Councillors).
This was closely followed by our branch running the tearooms at Cowra Show on Saturday, October 19.
A willing band of helpers served delicious scones, jam and cream, as well as yummy slices and cakes for morning and afternoon tea and nutritious sandwiches for lunch in the newly refurbished room at the western end of the pavilion.
Thank you to all who patronised our tearooms and purchased raffle tickets.
November is also shaping up to be another busy month, beginning with our special presentation on Endometriosis by medical sonographer, Rebecca Barcham from Bathurst on Saturday, November 9 at 2pm.
This will be held in St Raphael's Hall, to be followed by afternoon tea and costs $10. Endometriosis is CWA of NSW's current medical project of study.
