Popping the question
It was a quiet Sunday night at home in April 2017, when Ben gave Koren the best surprise of her life when he asked her to marry him. Koren said she was not expecting the proposal at all and of course she said yes. 17 months later the happy couple were saying "I do".
The bridal party
With a close eye on a semi-traditional theme, Koren and Ben knew exactly what type of atmosphere they were after, and the easy decisions just kept rolling. When it came to the brides dress, Koren said she found the perfect gown instantly. "I tried on one dress and bought it after I fell in love with it and didn't want to try on any others," she said.
"It was weird because I hated the dress on the hanger but loved it as soon as I tried it on. It definitely wasn't what I had in mind when I walked in the door". Koren's look was completed by Sarah Ford from the Salon Collective who did her hair while a close friend helped with makeup.
The bridesmaids Shayla Anderson and Emma Galea, along with gorgeous flower girl Zara Harris, were by Koren's side throughout the day. Zara wore a dress the same colour and lace as the brides, while Shayla and Emma wore navy dresses from Shona Joy.
The men didn't disappoint in the fashion stakes either, donning stylish suits from Peter Jackson. Ben went for a formal look, while best man Codey Brooks and groomsman Lachlan Morrison opted for a more semi-formal style.
The girls bouquets, created and supplied by Cowra's SM Style Design Create kept things simple with a striking white and green palette that was complimented by the small arrangement worn by the groom. The rings, so lovingly exchanged on the day, came from Michael Hill Jewellers and Kings Hall Jewellers.
The brides rings are simply stunning with the engagement ring white gold 'Halo' style with a plain wedding band and eternity ring with diamonds, while the grooms ring is a stylish thick, two toned rose gold and white gold band.
Vibrant venue
The ceremony was held at Chiverton Grove Vineyard on Chiverton Road, with the vibrant vineyards setting a gorgeous scene for the event, while the reception was held at the Cowra Services Club. In keeping with their semi-traditional theme, Koren decorated the venue with timber slabs as centerpieces with greenery onto them. The theme was very simple with white tablecloths and navy napkins to match the bridesmaids navy dresses.
Of course the guests were not left wanting when it came to the cake with the happy couple offering not one but three cakes. One was two tier creation and was raspberry and meringue flavour, while the other two were chocolate and salted caramel and white chocolate, with the caramel one featuring salted caramel donuts on top.
Eat Me Edible Goodies in Parkes made the cakes and for those who still had a sweet tooth, the lolly bar proved a huge hit.
Picturesque photography
Click Photography was on hand to take the photos for the wedding with shots being taken at Chiverton Road and Back Creek Road. Guests were invited to make full use of the photo booth at the reception and it was certainly enjoyed by all. The photo booth also printed out two lots of photos so Koren and Ben were able to get a set of all the photos that people took throughout the night.
