Have a passion for local bird life?
To celebrate Bird Week, residents are being encouraged to enter the 'Archibird Prize".
Happy snappers have the chance to win $100 simply by submitting a photo of a local Australian native bird.

There will also be $50 for second prize, $25 for third and $100 to the People's Choice winner.
Entry to the competition is free and open to anyone in the Cowra region.
Images are to be of wild Australian native birds taken within 100kms of Cowra.
Images of birds in captivity will not be accepted.
There are two categories to enter - "Youth" for those 13 and under and "Open" for all other entrants 13 years and above.
Entries close October 28.
The competition is brought to you by Cowra Shire Council, Cowra Natural Resource Management Committee (Cowra NRM), Mid Lachlan Landcare and Cowra Woodland Birds.
