While the unders 13s and under 14s struggled to make an impact on the field, winning one match in their respective groupings, local residents Kayne Veney (under 14s) and Cooper Pullen (under 13s) got to spend some valuable time on field as part of a regional representative team.
A particular highlight for Veney involved his bowling, with the youngster bowling 2/9 from six overs in the last game of the week, a loss against Murrumbidgee.
With two maidens and the nine runs coming across six overs, it was a consistent and economic bowling performance.
In the under 15s, Rohan Wilson had a bit more luck, the Wranglers winning three out of five games in the Thunder pool of country teams, with the local also getting decent stints at both batting and bowling throughout.
Additionally, he was at the bowler's end when batting partner Connor Whale hit the winning runs against Murrumbidgee.
All three Wranglers teams will have to wait until next Sunday, when they will face CAW Murray across the grades. The under 15s will play at Temora's Nixon Park, the under 14s at Cootamundra's Fisher Park, while the venue of the under 13s match is yet to be decided.
