Under 16s and 18s boys looking to have a crack at joining the Western Rams Academy have a limited time to register their interest ahead of next Sunday's trials.

Players born from 2002 to 2004 are encouraged to express interest before close of business on Wednesday, October 15, on the proviso that they can ensure their attendance.

This year's trials will take place at Lake Burrendong Sport and Recreation Facility, which is based half an hour outside of Wellington in Mumbil.

Cowra players which have had success in the Western Rams set-up include Bill Statham, who is now training with Penrith Panthers' under 18s squad ahead of next year's Laurie Daley Cup.

Players who are interested in being considered for selection by the Rams, but can't make it to next weekend's trials, are encouraged to contact the organisation directly at western@crlnsw.com.au to register their interest, along with a reason for why they are unable to attend.
