"If you want to learn how to make the yards a safer environment for both you and your livestock, then this field day will provide plenty of useful advice," Central Tablelands Local Land Services officer, Kate McCarthy said.
"The field day is designed for all levels of experience, whether you've been farming for years, or you're a tree changer who has just bought their first mob of cows.
"Working with livestock can be dangerous and unfortunately serious injuries and deaths are not uncommon on Australian farms.

According to SafeWork Australia, the majority of serious injury claims and worker fatalities happen in the sheep, beef cattle and grain sector, with livestock farmers accounting for 36 percent of worker fatalities.
Being hit by an animal is listed by Safe Work Australia as one of the most common causes of serious claims.
Cattle, due to their large size and strength can be particularly dangerous, posing a significant risk of injuries and fatalities for farm workers who are crushed, hit, gored or trampled.
Meanwhile sheep, goats and other livestock are all capable of causing painful and debilitating injuries.
However there are ways to reduce risk and make stock handling safer and simpler for both the farmers and the animals they're working with.
"During the Livestock Handling and Assessment Field Day, we'll demonstrate methods for handling livestock in a safe and effective way, and we'll also talk about the technology available to improve safety in your yards whether you're working with sheep, cattle or other livestock," Ms McCarthy said.
