With a series of close results in the 10s/11s and C Grade competitions, followed by competitive hit outs in A and B Grade when the action moved to the indoor PCYC courts at Young Road, it was a day where plenty of locals got out and supported family and friends.
A Grade
Thompson's Irrifab came out all guns blazing against LES at PCYC, leading comprehensively with a 23-12 scoreline at half-time and running away as victors.
With strong goal accuracy, fast and precise ball movement, yet possessing a willingess to control the tempo as necessary, Thompson's Irrifab were deserving winners.
Meanwhile, in the A Grade Reserve grand final, Webb's Transport were triumphant, winning 48-38 against Yellow House.
B Grade
Another close match where there was plenty of opportunity for both sides to take the win, Emma Boland Photography walked away as B Grade premiers, winning 30-27 against a spirited Paint Place team.
While Emma Boland Photography were often dominant in terms of field possession, the shooting efficiency of Paint Place helped keep them in the game as they found momentum, creating a see-sawing second half as both sides tried to seize control of the match.
C Grade
Another close result, but one where Rourke and Henry managed to take home a premiership, their dominance and series of position changes in the third quarter allowing them to get the game on their terms, eventually winning 28-25.
Runners-up Cowra Glass can take heart from their continued effort throughout the day, especially in the first half.
10s/11s
The closest result of the day, but one where Mr Emboridery triumphed against Eureka Place, winning 15-14 in a clash where both groups of kids left everything they had out on the court.
