Desley Thickett moved to Cowra with her parents when her father was appointed the first manager of the ES&A Bank in the late 1950s.
She attended Cowra High School where she was the Vice Captain in 1963.
Desley went on to university in Sydney where she met her future husband Ron Alexander.
Very sadly Desley died in March 2015.
At that time she was making a quilt.
It is almost finished with just some hand quilting and the edges to be completed.
Rowena Casey is holding working bees at her home at 4 Denman Street, Cowra , to finish the quilt.
The next two will be on Thursday, September 19 and Thursday, September 26 at 9.30am.
If you can assist you would be very welcome.
