Upgrades to the unit's kitchenette were funded by the group.

Cowra Health Service Manager, Pauline Rowston, said the facelift allowed for easier use of the kitchenette and more room for families.

"We wanted to change the room around a bit because when we have large families who come to visit at the end of life care, we need as much floor space as we can to create extra chair spaces and extra room for people to stay," she said.

"The old kitchen had a sort of unit set up, much deeper than the current one and the fridge was sitting in the corner, not part of the kitchen at all.

"By remodeling the kitchen, making it a bit narrower, creating a space for the fridge to sit under the bench... we've actually been able to create a lot more floor space than what we had."

The upgrades also gave the decades-old kitchenette a modern feel.

"It looks nice but you don't realise how much work goes into it, a little renovation like that, so we are very thankful to the ladies of the Breast Cancer Support Group for providing that little extra nicety," Mrs Rowston said.

Jenny Friend from the Cowra Breast Cancer Support Group said they wanted to do something for the Cowra community.

"We're not a big group but we have had money donated to us and sometimes... it sort of sits there and we think well, what could we do for the community?" Mrs Friend said.

"I think it was suggested the services suite needs some updating so we thought, well okay we'll do that because that's something the community benefits from, everybody benefits from."
