When a resident enters Weeroona, the Lifestyle Team conduct a cultural and social profile to learn more about the resident and how Weeroona can create an activity program to specifically meet their needs.

Weeroona's highly qualified team have training in Certificate 4 Leisure and Lifestyle, Diploma of Community Services, Diversional Therapy and are qualified Tai Chi instructors. Each member of the team brings something different to enhance the resident experience at Weeroona. Their goal is to keep residents connected to the wider community by embracing Weeroona's ever improving lifestyle program.
The Lifestyle Team liaises with Cowra Information and Neighbourhood Centre, Cowra Senior Citizens and Bunnings (who hold Men's Club and Garden Club activities for residents), along with preschools, primary and high schools to offer inter-generational activity.

Weeroona's Lifestyle Co-ordinator, Jan Harper, said they have many in-house activities for residents such as indoor bowls, bingo, art and craft classes and floral arranging. "Cowra Bunnings staff member Amanda Kiffen joins us monthly with projects for our residents and this session is always highly attended," she said. "We have quiz days, aromatherapy, massages and our very own nail technician, Jacy Browne, who works Wednesday and Friday to pamper our residents and their nails look very glamourous".
Jan said that Weroona's Memory Support Unit run the Montessori method and this places emphasis on independence, freedom within limits and respect for the person's natural, physical, psychological and social wellbeing. "Our residents are actively involved in decision making and hold a monthly resident/relative meeting as this gives our residents a voice on what they want to experience and achieve at Weeroona".
