The Kangaroo Flat and Waugoola Rural Fire Service (RFS) brigades will be hosting a day full of activities, demonstrations and information on Saturday, September 14 as a part of the Get Ready Weekend.
The event will be held at Brougham Park from 10am until 2pm.
Patrice Sharp from the Kangaroo Flat RFS said there will be plenty on for the whole family and it's a great opportunity to meet volunteer firefighters.

"We have some kids activities, jumping castle, face painting, we will use the truck," she said.
"We will have a live fire display at 11.30am - so the town can see how quickly a fire can ruin and destroy a home.
"We will have the Rapid Relief Team, who have kindly donated their time and will provide a free barbecue lunch."
Ms Sharp said, given the current drought conditions, it's more important than ever to have a fire plan in place should your family or property be threatened by a bush fire.
"The whole weekend is about getting the community involved before the start of the fire season," she said.
