The green and gold juniors suffered a tough, 18-14 major semi-final loss to minor premiers Lithgow Storm on Saturday at Tony Luchetti Sportsground.
The Storm team, the last remaining Lithgow team in the finals series, delighted the home crowd on hand for a bumper day of junior finals.
Lithgow hosted a full day of finals at Tony Luchetti Showground, with major and minor semi-finals being played from under 11s through to under 16s.
It has been a dream season for the Lithgow Under 16's team, which has been undefeated throughout the season.
Coach Ben Lane said the boys' ability to play as a team and their overall fitness gave them the edge over CYMS.
"I thought it was a good game of footy," he said.
It was pretty tough with the wind, obviously, but it was good to have it in the second half.

Lane predicted it would be CYMS they would be up against in two week's time in the grand final.
Bathurst Panthers will play CYMS for the final grand final spot after getting up against Bloomfield at Lithgow on Saturday.

UNDER 16s: Lithgow Storm 18 def CYMS 12.
MINOR SEMI-FINALS:

UNDER 12s: CYMS Gold 20 def Bloomfield Wildcats 6.
UNDER 13s: St Pat's White 22 def Bloomfield 4.
UNDER 14s: Cowra 42 def St Pat's 14.

UNDER 16s: Panthers 24 def Bloomfield 18.
Saturday's preliminary finals will be played at Mudgee's Glen Willow.
