The service will operate via a weekly day return bus or coach service with stops at Cowra, Murringo and Boorowa.
Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke invited residents to provide feedback on the service so that it can meet their needs most effectively.
"Providing public transport options is so important in the Cootamundra electorate, the Seat of Small Communities," she said.
"Not everybody has access to their own transport options and rely on public transport, which is why this route from Cowra to Canberra, starting in Wyangala, is being trialed.
"I am calling on residents in these communities to get ready to let us know how they think the service would work most efficiently for them."
Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole said the service is one of 13 new public transport routes being trialled.
"NSW TrainLink staff will be heading out to more communities across the State in the coming weeks to give customers the chance to have their say on how the new services would work best for them," he said.
"We want to hear from residents as to which timetable they prefer for the trial services along with feedback on what transport options best suit their needs."
NSW TrainLink staff will be holding information stalls on the route where the community can have their say from Monday, September 23.
