It will be held during Cowra's Australia Day celebrations on Sunday, January 26, 2020 to recognise the outstanding contribution that many individuals make to the Cowra community.
"We are asking that locals think about the groups and individuals that have contributed to the community over-time, but especially the last 12 months," Cowra Mayor, Councillor Bill West said.
"Nominating is as easy as filling out an application form and returning it to Cowra Council by Friday, November 15, 2019 at 4.30pm.
"There are many people in Cowra, the Shire villages and rural areas that work tirelessly in a number of social, community, and volunteer roles to help enrich the lives of others, so please consider putting in a nomination.
The Australia Day Awards are one way we can give recognition to their efforts and achievements."
There are four Award categories including: Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Group of the Year and the Dr Warren Whiley Memorial Award for Arts, Culture and Citizenship. Nomination forms are available from Cowra Council's Customer Service Centre or from Council's website www.cowracouncil.com.au
The closing date for nominations is Friday, November 15 at 4.30pm.
