2019 marks the 105th year of continuous operation for the Cowra branch and its members, along with representatives from other branches such as Morongla and Grenfell, and special guests, celebrated this milestone on Wednesday with a luncheon at the Cowra Bowling Club.
Cowra Red Cross Branch Secretary, Sue Sharp, said it was a great achievement.

"This is just too bigger opportunity to miss, not everyone in Red Cross can say that their branch is 105, which is pretty special," she said.
"I thought it was time to celebrate."
Cowra Mayor, Councillor Bill West, along with Councillor Ray Walsh attended on behalf of Cowra Council and the Cowra Vocal Ensemble entertained the audience with a number of songs.
Cr West thanked the branch for their continuous work in the community.
"Over those years you have contributed immensely to our community, to our wellbeing, to emergencies, to social issues that needed to be addressed both nationally and internationally and of course, locally," Cr West said.
"In essence, it's a matter of saying from the council's perspective and the community's perspective, thank you very much for what you do, happy birthday, it's well deserved, 105 is not a bad innings and I think it's continuing."
