Cowra Open Gardens to not go ahead this year due to weather conditions

The Annual General Meeting of Cowra Garden Club was held on August 1 with Annette Lynch elected as President for another year.

At the meeting it was decided, because of the unfavourable weather conditions experienced over the last 12 months, not to have Open Gardens this year and to work towards a bigger and better garden presentation next year.

New members and anyone interested in nominating their garden for opening are always welcome.

The guest speaker was Colleen Mead who presented a selection of stunning up close and personal photographs of insects that inhabit our gardens.

The next Garden Club meeting will be held on Thursday, September 5 with Heather Kiely as the guest speaker, giving a talk about her recent trip to Turkey.
