The evening will feature a two-course sit down meal, canapes, a bar, raffles, auctions, games and live music to raise money for three different charities.
Co-organiser of the event, Abbie McNaught said the idea for a fundraiser was the brainchild of her friend, Gabrielle Bischof and inspired by a similar function that raised funds for Abbie's brother Jacob a few years ago.
"Gabs [Bischof] actually came up with the idea, she called me a couple of months ago and she said 'I've just come up with this idea, what do you think?'" Abbie said.
"Obviously everyone's been impacted by it [cancer] in some way or another and she just wanted to know if I was onboard and I was like absolutely, no question."
Abbie said all profits raised on the night will go towards three charities.
"We've got the National Breast Cancer Foundation, we chose that one mainly because so many people are affected by breast cancer," she said.
"Every other week you hear somebody who has been touched by it, so we chose to go with that one.
"We are also fundraising for Ovarian Cancer Australia, we chose them because I actually saw this video, my mum [Michelle] showed it to me, where they're just really fighting to get funds.
"And we really wanted to keep it local because the businesses have just been so great... so we are doing the Cowra Cancer Action Group, we are fundraising for them as well.
"They've helped so many local people who have been battling so that was a natural option."
Cowra's 'Answer for Cancer" will be held on Saturday, August 31 at the Cowra Showground Pavilion.
Tickets are $70 and available through Michelle McNaught at the Quilter's Coop Cowra or by messaging either Abbie McNaught or Gabrielle Bischof through Facebook.
