More than 100 producers are expected to attend the Forum to hear from researchers and industry experts from through-out the red meat value chain.
Highlights of the Forum on Thursday, August 8 at the Cowra Services Club include:
- Farmer case study: James Morse from "Wongalee" Cundumbul.
- Strengthening disease preparedness Australia: Charles Sturt University Associate Professor Marta Hernandez-Jover from the Graham Centre for Agricultural Innovation.
- Best practice backgrounding cattle: Professor Paul Cusack, Central Veterinary Services and Director of Australian Livestock Production Services.
The Forum also includes speakers from Meat & Livestock Australia, JBS Australia, National Australia Bank, the Sustainability Steering Group and the University of Technology.
The focus on value adding in the red meat value chain continues on the Friday, August 9 with field day tours.
