Cowra Show Executive members Emma Boland, Amy Walker, Rachel Moore and Lachlan Patterson said they all decided become further involved with the running of the Cowra Show after taking part in either the Showgirl competition or Rural Achiever program.
"I just decided to get more involved and it came up to the elections and I was asked come onto the executive and figured why not?" Ms Walker said.
"You can't make a difference if you're not involved. It's just another layered that you can be involved in to make the show what we want it to be."
All four members believe agricultural shows need input and involvement from younger generations in order for them to survive into the future, especially during the drought.
"The trends are changing and what's attracting people to shows is different to what it was," Ms Boland said.
"A lot of people like to complain about what the show isn't, but none of them want to really get in and be involved and make it what they want it to be," Ms Walker said.
The executive say they have big plans for the show, including more events or expanding on annual Cowra Show Society events such as the Cowra Wine Show and Poll Dorset competition.

"More events over the year, big drawcards to come to Cowra, to bring more people to the town," Mr Patterson said.
"It's also a great way of meeting new people... it's a great way to be involved."
"It's a great opportunity," Ms Moore said.
