The pair had the opportunity to meet with representatives from Bathurst, Dubbo, Forbes, Mudgee, Oberon, Orange and Parkes U3A's.
The incoming president of U3A Network NSW, Laurene Mulcahy chaired the forum and updated us on latest insurances and licences we should have in place to ensure good governance.
A lot of ideas were shared in discussion and Orange U3A provided a delicious lunch.
The program for Term 3 is due for release this week and at the 11am sessions on Tuesdays we are continuing with Archaeology, Amazing Geological sites around the World, Australian Explorers and Women Inventors.
We have added some extra activities such as looking at less well known countries, asking members to bring along some sayings for discussion and looking at a different animal in conjunction with International days.
On Thursdays at 11am we have visits to the Cowra Art Gallery, Great Artists featuring Ancient Egyptian Art, brain games, Guest Speakers and Crazy Whist once a term and of course our regular sessions of Tai Chi at 9am on Tuesday and Thursday with Balance 'n Bones at 10am on Tuesdays and Tai Chi Fitness on Thursdays.
Cowra U3A provides opportunities for over 50s to keep our brains active and our bodies moving and flexible to help with balance to help keep Dementia at bay.
Our focus is on Fun and Friendship as we share our love of Life Long Learning.
New members are welcome at any time and if you join now, the fees are $16 for Term 3 and 4 or $8 for Term 3.
We also pay $2.50 per person per attendance to help with expenses.
