The breath test returned a negative reading while the drug test returned positive to methamphetamine.
A secondary test at Cowra Police Station returned a negative result, however a further test of the sample at the Lidcombe Forensic Science and Analytical Service returned a positive reading to methamphetamine.
In relation to his drug taking Parsons told police, "I have it occasionally but mainly on weekends".
In sentencing Magistrate Michael O'Brien said Parson's traffic history did not heLp him with a low range drink driving offence in 2010 and a similar drug offence in May of 2019.
