It hasn't proved to be an easy year for the women's Eagles and it was the same case again on Sunday afternoon, after the side battled hard but fell to a more disciplined Mudgee Wolves team, losing 4-0 at home.

The Wolves, who had only won one and drawn one for the year, clearly travelled down to Edgell Park with intent and that was what played out during the second half of the game against Cowra, the Wolves getting through on multiple occasions to create goal scoring opportunities.
On the flip side though, it wasn't one-way traffic, for while the Eagles struggled to generate repeat forward possession and give themselves repeat opportunity, their work defensively was strong.
Additionally, while results haven't yet gone the side's way this year, there has been an obvious improvement in ball movement and the maintenance of possession.
Unlike the Eagles men, the women's side won't be getting a break due to being part of Bathurst District Football as opposed to Orange and District, and will head to Redmond Oval this Sunday to take on the Millthorpe Tigers.
