Playing away at Wade Park, the team, who only won their first game for the year against the Bathurst Panthers the week before, came back after the Hawks jumped out of the blocks to an 18-6 half time lead.

However, the Magpies responded to the offensive in style, putting up the first three tries of the second half - the first being scored by Jessika Burling - to get their noses in front in the 17th minute.
While the Hawks got back in front, the day was a positive one for the Magpies, showing that they have what it takes to compete with the competition's best after a slow start to the year.
The League Tag team will head over to Lithgow this Sunday to take on the Workies after earlier drawing level with them, presenting a good opportunity to get a win this weekend.
