The CWA of NSW Central West Group held their annual Public Speaking Competition for its 32nd year at James Sheahan Catholic High School in Orange recently.

With the help of approximately 70 volunteers, this competition gives students the opportunity to write and deliver a timed speech on a subject appropriate for the age of the student.
Cowra Evening CWA's Judy Houghton and Cheryl McAlister were among this large group of volunteers who performed roles such as judges, chairpersons, timekeepers and ushers.
Congratulations to Georgia Campbell who was placed 1st in the Year 3 competition; Laura Price for Highly Commended in the Year 6 section and Elizabeth Heilman and Poppy Starr who were both Highly Commended in the section for Years 7 and 8.
