The very best produce and wine from the Cowra region will be showcased at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific at the inaugural 'Cowra on the Coast' Food and Wine Festival.

The day long event, to be held on Saturday, July 6, will be partnered by Cowra Tourism and the Cowra Wine Region.

The festival has been designed as a free, family-friendly food and wine event during the day.

Kicking off from 11am at the hotel's Florida Beach Bar, enjoy a tipple of the local Cowra vintage while tasting a variety of central west produce including spit-roasted Cowra lamb from Breakout River meats.

Take part in masterclass events and meet the winemakers from a number of Cowra region's vineyards, learning more about this petite, historic wine area with a strong organic heart with 75 per cent of the brands produced in the region being certified organic.

Live music, kids entertainment and a variety of food and wine market stalls will contribute to the festival-like atmosphere.

Cowra region winemakers involved in the dining event include Windowrie Wines of Canowindra, one of Cowra region's founding winemakers; Wallington Wines, a family-owned biodynamic vineyard; Antonio's Wines, a boutique wine label that specialises in Pinot; and Rosnay Organic Wines, Cowra's first organic winery and producer of delicious olives and figs.
