Take a tantalising trip through versatile verse with Australian Champion bush poet Robyn Sykes.

The multi-award-winning poet will headline a stellar night of rollicking rhymes, sumptuous stories and general hilarity at the Rotary Club of Cowra's Bush Ballads Night on Saturday, June 15.

The Bard from Binalong sculpts words using metaphors, metre, similes, rhyme and more.

A flick of her pen makes words twist, tuck and double-somersault with pike.

Poems prance.

Ditties dance.

"I love telling stories," the energetic performer said.

"And I love to entertain. I'm delighted to be part of Cowra Rotary's Bush Ballads Night."

Off-stage the acclaimed writer and entertainer has incubated crocodile eggs, lived in Japan, edited a newspaper, focused an electron microscope, lived and worked on a farm, and with her husband raised four sons.

So buckle in for a great night.

The Rotary Club of Cowra's Bush Ballads Night will be held at St Raphael's Hall on Saturday, June 15 at 7pm for 7.30pm.

Entry fee is $10 and dinner is $10 per head.

Tickets are available for purchase at the Bendigo Bank Agency in Kendal Street, Cowra.
