The funding was announced as part of National Volunteers Week under the Federal government Volunteer Grants Program.
Woodstock CWA will receive $3759, Cowra Musical Dramatic Society $4685, Cowra Riding for Disabled $2150, Woodstock Hall Committee $5000 and the Woodstock Show Society $4,400.
Cowra Musical and Dramatic Society president Lawrence Ryan said the group's grant has enabled the M&D to purchase a high quality portable PA system.
"This will be a great benefit as it allows us to stage a variety of shows at venues that don't have a PA system installed, such as Billimari and Woodstock halls.
"The system has been purchased locally, keeping the money in Cowra," Mr Ryan said.
Riverina Nationals' MP and Deputy Prime Minister Michael McCormack lauded the efforts of volunteers as "champions of their local communities".
"Every day, we should be thanking those who sacrifice their time to make our regions even better places to live and work," Mr McCormack said.
"Having a dedicated week to show our appreciation is the least we can do to show the pillars of our local communities that we care about what they do.
"These grants, which range from $1,000 to $5,000, seem small but they make such a tangible difference for volunteer organisations to be able to continue the invaluable work they do in our communities."
