Fellow Australians, Jaimon Lidsey and Victorian Jordon Stewart will compete in Qualifying Round One at Pardubice (Czech Republic) and Qualifying Round Three at Krakow, Poland respectively on the same day.
Matt will line up against riders from USA, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, France, Sweden, Russia and Finland.
Gilmore, Lidsey and Stewart earned their spot in the qualifier from their placing in January in the 2019 Australia U21 Speedway Championships, held at Ipswich, Queensland. with the top three from that meeting qualifying for the U21 World Championships.
Each of the Aussie riders must finish in the top four of their respective qualifiers to be guaranteed a spot in the 16 rider, three round finals series, held over the next four-and-a-half months. The remaining four riders will be selected by FIM.
