Time is running out for students seeking financial assistance to complete their education at St Raphael's Catholic School.

The St Raphael's Catholic School Cowra Scholarship is aimed at supporting students continuing their schooling at St Raphael's in Years 11 and 12 who are challenged by circumstances and may not otherwise be able to continue at school.

The scholarship has been provided by an anonymous donor, who will continue to provide funds for the award moving forward into the future.

Students who receive the scholarship will have their full tuition fees for both Years 11 and 12 paid for.

The scholarship is dependent on continuing enrollment at St Raphael's Cowra and a continued maintenance of the high standards specified in the criteria.

Failure to comply with the expectations of the scholarship will result in a written warning. Repetition of that failure to comply will result in withdrawal of the scholarship.

Eligibility criteria involves:

  • Students that may not have the financial recourse available to them or their family to complete Years 11 and 12 are eligible for the scholarship.
  • Students who demonstrate effort and determination to maximise their ability or energy to use their talents to the full, noting that this may or may not result in high levels of academic achievement.
  • Those who via their leadership, contribution to the community/school or outstanding moral character demonstrate that continuing their studies to Years 11 and 12 will be of benefit to the wider community and to themselves.

Applications are due by May 22, 2019.

Administrators will then meet to determine the recipient/s.

Candidates will be notified by the Trustees by June 30 of their outcome.
