Cowra's prestigious Calleen art award winner to be named

The Cowra Regional Art Gallery will play host to two special events on Saturday, May 4.

At 6.15pm, The Calleen Collection book will be launched by curator, writer and art historian, Peter Haynes.

Following the launch, the official opening of the Calleen Art Award 2019 will take place at 6.45pm.

The exhibition will be officially opened by Cowra Mayor, Councillor Bill West.

The announcement of the Calleen Art Award winner will be made by Award Judge Jane Watters, Director of the S.H. Ervin Gallery (National Trust).

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by the young musicians from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, who will play as people look around the exhibition.

Galley doors will open at 6pm.
