A very proud Phillip and Barbara Curtis were stunned at the recent Paint Right Regional Conference after they were awarded the Paint Right "Store of the Year". Having celebrated the Regional Conference in Cowra which included board members from Sydney, Melbourne and as far away as Queensland, Chairman of the Paint Right Group, Dale Goodacre, said they were very pleased to award Phill's Paint and Blinds with this years award. The award was presented to Phillip and Barbara during dinner after the Zone Meeting which was held on March 30.

The award is only achieved through consistent effort and application, backed with excellence in customer service. The Paint Right Group look at a range of criteria when presenting the award including customer feedback, involvement with community based groups and charities, store presentation inside and out, sales figures, involvement with Paint Right marketing programs, and day to day performance.
Paint Right Group Operations Manager, Craig Hibbert, said the award was a deserved result for the team at Phill's Paint and Blinds. "It's a great thank you to Phill, Barbara and the team. They are excellent members of the Paint Right Group. We look forward to working together for yet another great year".
Store owner Barbara Curtis said it was an honour to win the award. "It really is great recognition for all the work we have done and continue to do," she said. "We didn't even know about the award win until it was presented to us so it was a fabulous surprise for everyone".

Phill's Paint and Blinds has undergone some dramatic changes in recent times in an overhaul which Barbara said was proving beneficial to both Phill and Barbara and their many customers. "We had previously operated as two separate businesses, Cowra Paint Plus and Phill's Blinds and Awnings, but we amalgamated the businesses together and have joined with the Paint Right Group," she said. "It's been a great opportunity and has not only helped us reduce operating costs but it has also allowed us to improve or product offerings and customer service."

While the name has changed, Barbara said the high levels of customer service and community involvement are still there, "We have lived in Cowra for 36 years and been in business for over seven years," she said. "We love being a part of the community and always help out and support where we can including sports clubs, community groups and schools".
