Live Traffic NSW reported that the highway between Young and Cowra was closed about 11.20am.
No diversions are in place as the closure is not expected to last long.
Live Traffic NSW has state that the lanes should reopen about 11.50am.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution and allow extra travel time.
