On April 13, 15 Cowra Ballet School dancers ranging from eight to 18 years will embark on a tour of the USA where they will perform for crowds in Disney World, and Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Once they have conquered Orlando, they venture to the Big Apple, New York City, where they will learn from the best of the best when it comes to dance and performance. 

The dancers will have the opportunity to take private workshops with some of the dance industries most famous choreographers, at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, and Broadway Dance Centre.

But it doesn’t stop there.

The dancers and their families will then be treated to the phenomenal experience of a Broadway show, including a VIP backstage tour.

It doesn’t get much better than that. 

It seems like almost a lifetime ago that the trip was booked, and they have all been waiting in anticipation for April 13 to come around.

That’s not to say they have been sitting idly by – in fact quite the opposite.

All 31 travellers have been fundraising tirelessly, at Cowra Bunnings barbecues and cake stalls, running raffles, hosting showcases and film events, car washes, and lastly, and most recently, organising a Bingo Night to celebrate their hard work and preparation.

The USA Tour members invite their friends and family, as well as the sponsors of the tour to attend the Bingo night on Saturday, March 23 at 7pm at the Cowra Services Club.

Tickets are $10 each, which includes nibbles and 1 book to play Bingo.

More books will be available to purchase.

A giant dutch raffle will be held on the night, with some prizes exceeding $200 in value, including Garmin watches, sporting packs, fishing packs, pamper packages, meat trays and more!
