Event organisers Mid-Lachlan Landcare are inviting landholders to attend and hear from local land managers and local experts at the meeting on March 26 at the Wyangala Country Club from 9.30am.
"The aim of the day is to inform local landholders on current best practice methods in pest animal and weed management, encouraging a more effective coordinated community approach to current and arising problems," Landcare coordinator Tracee Burke said.
"There will be opportunities for attendees to discuss their issues, experience and knowledge throughout the day."
Speakers at the meeting will include Gus Hickman who will give a local landholder's perspective on weed management; a Cowra Council representative, who will speak on the Biosecurity Act 2015 and weed management and; Peter West who will speak on Feral Scan which is a free resource that can be used by anyone to record pest animal activity, evidence of pests, pest damage, and control actions.
Data entered into FeralScan can be used to help coordinate on ground control to address the problems pest animals are causing in your local area.
Landholders are welcome to attend all or part of the day.
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided.
