The 2019 fixture, released last week, has the Blues facing one of last year's strongest teams, Bathurst Bushrangers Outlaws in their opening round of the season.
The team then enjoys a block of home games against Dubbo Demons, Parkes Panthers and Orange Tigers. Then two away games against Bathurst Bushrangers Rebels and Bathurst Giants before a rep football break.
Blues coach Ben Rodin said he was happy with the draw, particularly the team's groupings of home and away games.
“The draw is pleasing because we’ll be able manage and plan our travel in blocks while also being able to take advantage of consecutive home games to schedule club events and promote the game to Cowra residents," he said.
“As a new person to the area I am particularly looking forward to getting on the road and playing against unfamiliar opposition.
“Every game is going to be an opportunity to prove ourselves while testing our skills and learning how to get better. I couldn’t be more excited for the challenge."
The team will then return with a home game against Burshrangers Outlaws, then a stint of away games to Orange, Bathurst and Dubbo. They then finish off the regular season with home games against Bushrangers Rebels and Orange Tigers.
Rodin said pre-season was going well and the next step for the team was to get matches under their belt.
“We’ve been working long and hard to implement things that will work in the context of a game environment but until we get to play matches it’s always a mystery as to how we’re going to go," he said.
“Matches are the next step for this group, and I am particularly excited for the young guys who have been coming to training since day dot.
“It is going to be a long season so if there is anyone who sees the schedule and thinks ‘Geez, I can play a game or two in that fixture,’ then please feel free to get in touch."
The club will hold a registration and BBQ night on Thursday, March 14, after training. If you are interested in playing or supporting the club contact Ben Rodin on 0428 961 711.
