The 2019 Race will take to the water on the Lachlan River on Saturday 16 March at 6pm, finishing at the Low Level Bridge.
Rotary Duck Race Coordinator, Bob Griffiths is excited about this year’s event.
"We’ve increased the prize money for the Race with more than $1000 cash on offer. We’ve also kept the ticket price at $5 to ensure everyone in the family can join in the fun and have their very own duck in the Race," he said.
"Cowra businesses haven’t been forgotten either, with corporate ducks available online for $50 through www.cowrabusinesschamber.com.au/events. Businesses are encouraged to buy their duck soon so they have time to decorate it before Race Day."
Tickets for the small ducks can be purchased from Cowra Council, Cowra Visitor’s Centre, Bendigo Bank or your friendly Rotary members outside Woolies on Friday and Saturday.
The 2019 Cowra Festival Duck Race is coordinated by the Rotary Club of Cowra with the assistance of the Cowra Youth Council, Cowra SES, Bendigo Bank and Cowra Business Chamber.
All proceeds from the Race will go towards Rotary International Projects and World Vision’s Duck Giving Program.
