This project has been running for nearly two years, with approximately 50 people enjoying the regular get-together, held on the fourth Wednesday of the month in St Raphael’s Hall in Lachlan Street, opposite the church.
St Raphael’s Parish Priest, Fr Laurie Beath, said the lunch was open to anyone in the Cowra community.
"Particularly those who may be struggling in any way, or those who are new to the area, looking for a way to socialise in a welcoming, no-pressure environment," he said.
"Maybe you know someone who would enjoy this opportunity to gather over lunch, or you have a neighbour who rarely gets out, bring them along.
"This is an opportunity for a simple, freshly prepared meal with friendly company and it won’t cost you a thing," he said.
