A man, who was arrested in Cowra, has been charged after an elderly woman was allegedly indecently assaulted during a break in at Blayney.

It’s alleged an 85-year-old woman was asleep in a unit of a retirement home on Adelaide Street about 11.40pm on Monday when she was woken by someone touching her. The women saw a man in her room committing an act of indecency, and challenged him.
The man left the room and the woman escorted him out of the unit before notifying police. Investigators arrested a 41-year-old man at a Cowra home on Tuesday.
He was taken to Cowra Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence, sexually touch another person without consent, break and enter, receive property – theft, possess prohibited drug, and possess unregistered firearm.
The man was refused bail at Bathurst Local Court to appear on Monday, April 8.
