Dubbo CYMS are the perfect test for the Magpies... both sides are hungry to take the next step in their respective divisions later this year after narrowly missing out on Premierships.
The fixture potentially offers the first opportunity for locals to witness new recuits Lewis Dwyer, Claude Gordon and Logan Harris in action, while the match-up is a good opportunity for the Magpies to see where they are at prior to Group 10 kicking off in just over a month and a half.
Dubbo CYMS are the perfect test for the Magpies, having come off their own narrow, 22-23 loss to Forbes in Group 11, with both sides hungry to take the next step in their respective divisions later this year.
Dubbo haven’t been too active in player departures over the off-season, with the departure of Matt Burton to Penrith and Nick Harvey to the Mudgee Dragons the only major departures of note.
The Magpies will also be holding a post-game function at the Cowra Services Club following the match, with all supporters encouraged to get down.
