The win means Grenfell sit three games clear of the Cowra Valleys, with three matches remaining, making it very unlikely that they’ll drop out of first place with finals approaching.
Sent into bat, Grenfell struggled to put up a convincing total, stumbling to 8-134, though Phillip Rolls and Luke Murphy each added 17 crucial lower-order runs to keep the total a modestly competitive figure
While Morongla put up a fight early, with opener Andrew Wilson hitting a solid 36, once he was dismissed by Mathew Tozer, it was a much tigher affair, with Murphy taking 3-23 as Grenfell fought back to dismiss the hosts all out for 128, with two balls remaining,
Over at Tom Clyburn Oval, Canowindra lost to the Cowra Valleys, continuing their winless run and putting the Valleys into second place.
