Seven changes have been made at this stage, with Mick Curtale returning to lead the charge as Luke Cosgrove, Josh Carmody, Jonte Powderly, Zach Starr, Cal Taylor and Scott Wilson join the 12-man squad, which will be narrowed to 11 for Sunday’s match at Wade Park.
Carmody was one Cowra’s best performers in his last Grinsted Cup appearance, hitting 68 in a victory against Young, while Cosgrove, Powderly and Taylor join after strong performances in the same losing Young side.
The top-scorers from last week, Peter Guthrie and Tom Thuaux, have been maintained as have Craig Carpenter, Nic Traves and Ben Houghton.
The match, coming at an early stage of the Western Zone competition, and after the loss of the Grinsted Cup, offers Cowra’s representative team a chance to regroup before the Christmas break.
Cowra and Orange have both only played one match in the Western Zone tournament so far, with Cowra losing to Parkes in the season’s opening match, while Orange, who had a bye first up, defeated Dubbo in the second round.
