One of Australia’s most recognisable household names, Timomatic will be performing for one night only on December 20. The man behind hits such as Set it Off and Parachute says he’s keen to get out to regional areas like Cowra as part of his 2018 Mash Up tour.
“I think, because there’s not too many touring names coming out, it calls for a more special moment,” he said.
“There’s lovers of music wherever you are and I believe that everyone deserves the best in entertainment.
“From the tours I’ve been on regionally, it’s always been a special moment and really intimate and people really get to know me up close which is exciting.”
Timomatic said he, and a special guest, will bring a massive party to Cowra.
“I'll be with I.amsolo from Justice Crew, he’ll be on the decks,” he said.
“I’ll be playing all my hits, some new stuff, some of my new tracks that I’ve just recently released, which is going to be exciting.”
He said his performances also give him the opportunity to crowd involved.
“I have a Nigerian heritage and in Nigerian culture, in African culture, performances are not spectator sport, it's everyone being involved,” Timomatic said.
“Everyone gets dancing, I invite people up on stage, I get the crowd to chant things, it’s a fun time.”
He said Justice Crew, who performed in Cowra earlier this year, inspired him to take the show on the road to regional and rural areas.
“I went out and I love travelling, I just love going out and giving special experiences to people who don’t normally get it,” he said.
After starting out on shows such as So You Think You Can Dance and Australia’s Got Talent, Timomatic says he is now branching out into musicals and acting.
“In January I continue Madiba The Musical that I’m in, which is a celebration of Nelson Mandela, which has been crazy to be a part of, we’ve done 55 shows so far so I finish that off,” he said.
“I’m pursuing acting as well so I’m continuously finessing my skills.”

He said, after 10 years in the industry, he continues to love making music and performing.
“This is what I love to do, this is what I wake up wanting to do so I knew, either way, this would be my life,” he said.
“I’m bringing what I believe will be the most memorable night of the year in Cowra.”
