Choreographer, Alison Buckley will polish the performances of dancers from Blayney High School, Cowra High School, Denison College Bathurst High Campus, Dunedoo Central School, Gulgong High School and Orange High School at Cowra High School on Tuesday,November 13.
Dancers from Bedgerebong Public School, Bletchington Public School, Calare Public School, Cowra Public School and Eglinton Public School will go through their paces with Ms Buckley at Cowra High the following day.
Ms Buckley is one of three choreographers with special links to regional NSW who have devised this routine, Aussie Exports for dancers from regional and rural schools across the state.
As well as saluting some great Australian icons, the colourful Aussie Exports segment also highlights the talents of students from regional public schools.
Aussie Exports uses the music of Kylie Minogue (Can’t Get You Out of My Head), Guy Sebstation (Bloodstone) and Keith Urban (The Fighter).
It will be performed at the Schools Spectacular at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney’s Olympic Park in four shows on Friday and Saturday, November 23 and 24.
Schools Spectacular is unequalled in the world with a 2700-strong choir, 2300 diverse dancers, an 80-piece symphony orchestra, a world-class stage band and a huge number of outstanding solo performers.
This iconic cultural event engages and showcases students of varying ages, cultures, skills and socio-economic backgrounds.
