STOP PRESS – Did you know that the Woolworths Junior Blasters Program (designed for boys and girls 5-7yrs, approximately) described below is now FREE! The fee was originally set at $75 – however that has been waived! So for $0 your child can receive a pack containing a named cricket shirt in the colour of the Big Bash team of their choosing, a ball, bucket hat and plastic bat, plus an hour of games plus instruction eachSaturday morning under the eye of Cowra’s own Alana Ryan, herself a professional cricketer! For insurance purposes we still need your child to be registered – go to ‘playcricket.com’ and follow the prompts.
Woolworths Junior Blasters - our smallest and most eager players had a cracking start to their cricket careers (save for a few who were involved last season..) last Saturday. Tomorrow they will continue learning skills and the basics of the game, but more importantly HAVING FUN from 9:30am - 10:30am on Holman Oval, under the watchful eye of Alana Ryan. Alana will be happy to accept help from any Mums and Dads who can hang around for the hour. Sounds like a few of the player kits are starting to turn up, so no doubt there will be some kids eager to display their new named shirts, made up in the Big Bash team colour of their choosing. Mind you there are no rules on clothing - any shorts, T-shirts, hats and runners will be fine.
PS Apologies that a mailout parents may have recently received listed start time as 9am - it should read 9:30am!
