Alongside some of the biggest names in wrestling will be a special appearance from Cowra’s own Barry “swooper” Blake who has been willing to put his hand up in the name of a good cause.
Lovers of wrestling are encouraged to make their way to Saturday’s event as “sadly, there is a chance there will be a bigger gap than usual between Western Warfare`s 4 and 5,” organiser and wrestler James Lanham said.
“It`s not certain yet but there is a good chance I will need both my wrists operated on next year, which due to recovery time will rule me out of the ring and promotional work for a few months’’.
“If I do need the surgeries Western Warfare 5 may end up being put off until 2020 which makes Western Warfare 4 even more of a must-see event.”
Western Warfare 4 will be headlined by an ICW Central West championship bout between defending champion Rex and High Octane.
Earlier in the evening High Octane will look to even the score with his student turned bitter rival Addicus Slain.
During a promotional appearance at the Cowra Show Cootamundra`s Slain interrupted a speech by High Octane.
After an intense physical altercation Slain laid Octane out with his ‘’Big Z’’ knee strike before storming off all the while claiming that this was ‘’nothing personal, just business’’.
Also, on the event will be a match for the Alan Lanham memorial trophy between ‘’Birdman’’ Phil Picasso and Nick Maltino, a triple threat match between TV star Niki Nitro, Nyx Jade and Bindi Valentine as well as local boy Barry ‘’the Swooper’’ Blake taking on the veteran Mike Kelly.
There will be all this and much more at this huge event which also features Super Crimson Mask, Dan Archer, Adrian Axton, Alex Irvine, Vinnie Bronson, Tank, John Crossfire as well as many more wrestlers. Referees for the night will be Jessica Hitchens (who recently refereed on an event featuring WWE superstar Milena) and veteran wrestler Devious Dave! As always card subject to change.
This year the event is not only being recorded for release on DVD but will be filmed for a documentary about High Octane so be sure to turn up and be as loud as possible.
Tickets are available at SportsPower Cowra up until around midday on the day of the event.
Pre-purchased tickets are $15 each or 4 for $50.
If still available tickets on the night are $15 (no group discount, under 5s free, cash sales only).
Doors for the event open at 5:30pm with show starting at 6pm.
RDA Cowra will be operating the canteen and there will be wrestling merchandise sales and a free meet and greet post show.
