Known by visitors and locals as the “Best little Show in the Country” Carcoar Show is a spectacular, fun-filled day out for the whole family.
Opening the show this year will be Mel Johnston, who has nearly 100 open shearing competition wins, a world title in the United States, has shorn for the Queen and was inducted into the Australian Shearers’ Hall of Fame in 2013.
The show will display the district’s finest livestock and local produce. There will be five horse rings including one for heavy horses and another for stock horses, prime lambs, cattle, wool, whip cracking, yard dog trials and the Central Highlands Sport Shear and Wool Handling.
The Woodchopping event will once again be a popular feature and the pavilion will have fabulous displays and competitions in home products, flowers, art, craft and photography.
Other attractions include music from November Shorn, demonstrations by Neville Burns from Blue Mountains Reptile Awareness, Troppo Bob from Troppo Magic, Old Kentucky Animal Farm, Inflatables and many stall holders!
The community is invited to come along and enjoy all the fun and festivities of the Carcoar Show! The gates open from 8am when the yard dog trials begin, with the Horse Events and Shearing competition commencing at 9 am.
